This list covers all Packards with the eight cylinder 356 cubic inch
displacement engine
from 1940 to 1950. This engine has nine main bearings and
hydraulic valve lifters.
It can be identified by noting that the exhaust pipe
is held to the exhaust manifold by
four bolts and nuts.

exchange unit is as follows. NOTE: DISASSEMBLED CORES
ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.

CONDITION: The core must be in good condition. Any cores
with broken
parts, excessive rust or damage are subject to a
partial refund if the
condition can be corrected. If core is
beyond repair, no refund will be given.
Additional charges may apply.

COMPLETENESS: The core must be complete. Any missing parts
will be
deducted from the core value.

WEAR: If the core is worn beyond normal allowable standards and
cannot be rebuilt, no refund will be issued and core will be returned
to you at
your request. If core can be repaired, a partial refund will be
issued or
additional charges may apply.

Windshields, radiators, manifolds, rear ends, engine
blocks, etc. may require a crating charge. These items
must be sent by truck, freight collect.
